Biography

Rori Pitts is a seasoned Video Editor and Storyteller with over twenty-five years of experience in the television industry. Although she officially launched her editing career in 2011, her extensive background encompasses a rich tapestry of roles that have shaped her expertise. Rori has collaborated with prominent production companies such as Hybrid Films, Magilla Entertainment, Big Fish Entertainment, Departure Films, and Viacom. She is proficient in leading editing software, including Avid Media Composer and Premiere Pro.

 

Rori's journey began while pursuing a BA in Theatre Arts & Television Production at Rutgers University, where she interned at CNN. After graduation, she stepped into the television industry as a Production Assistant at WBIS+, a start-up station, and later transitioned to Fox News Channel. At Fox, she advanced from Production Assistant to producing on-air promos and voice-overs. It was during this time that Rori discovered her passion for video editing, which has since propelled her into a successful career as a documentary television editor.

 

Her editing work has been showcased on major cable networks such as A&E, TLC, MTV, TV One, VH1, HGTV, Discovery, and many more. Known for her professionalism, organization, and creativity, Rori excels in collaborative environments while thriving as an independent editor. She prides herself on consistently meeting deadlines and remaining adaptable to the needs of producers throughout the production process.

 

Over the course of her career, Rori has built a reputation as a valuable asset in every production she has been involved with, consistently bringing creativity and dedication to her craft.
